“…and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.” Exodus 2:23 (KJV)
As so many people are interceding like never before during prayer calls, zoom calls, praying as individuals and with others for the United States, the upcoming election and the confirmation of the new Supreme Court Justice, this concerted effort has brought a huge breakthrough for righteousness and Godliness in the United States which will affect the world.
First, I heard the Lord talk to me about the spirit of Pharaoh over a couple weeks as I was asking what needs to be broken or bound over the U.S. to bring change due to the drastic occurrences, disunity, falsehoods, and ungodliness of late. Next, loud and forcefully, I saw huge chains put there by the spirit of Pharaoh snap, now broken off the United States after the dominating spirit of Pharaoh was bound.
“And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.” Exodus 1:14 (KJV)
I was caught off-guard as I had not thought about this principality named Pharaoh for a long time, even though it has been talked about before, but we do know that this un-Godly spirit holds back God’s people, the Church. Ridding ourselves from this spirit of bondage allows Reformation to come and the Church to be free. Often we are remiss as prayer warriors and leaders in only looking for spirits like Jezebel and Leviathan when there are more named spirits effecting us adversely than we can count, much less name, without the Lord’s specific insight and words of knowledge. The name of any spirit causing us havoc can surprise us all as God always reveals things to us exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think (Eph 3:20), but is always verified by its characteristics in the natural and in the Word of God.
I was reminded of the hard and oppressive religion and its spirits that the people of Israel experienced in Egypt with Pharaoh as ruler. In looking up “bondage” in the Bible, many scriptures refer to Egypt as the “house of bondage”(Ex 13:3, 14; 20:2, Deut 5:6; 6:12; 8:14; 13:5, 10, Josh 24:17, Judges 6:8) Egypt under Pharaoh worshipped idols, were hard-fast in their traditions, quite religious, and this melted onto the Israelites. Pharaoh, who lusted after greed and power, was a false god considered to be the reincarnation of Horus; and it was thought that his soul was deeply integrated into the land. The occult, witchcraft and magic were apparent from this false deity as evidenced in the Word of God. The erroneous beliefs of the afterlife and false “prayers” are apparent in Egyptian history and evidenced in years of archeology. All this has been apparent, oppressing the Church of the United States for decades but manifesting against us more lately with the enemy nervous that the Church is interceding in more unity and spiritual warfare. The Israelites suffered for centuries under the bullying effect of this spiritual atmosphere as well as the abuse of slavery; but God’s people cried out and He heard them just as God’s present people have served for years and will now reap the benefits of their hard labor and supplication, no longer under this spirit that was insidiously deep set into our land.
“ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15 (KJV)
In the spiritual realm, Pharaoh always holds back God’s blessings, spiritual growth, and futures in the kingdom, keeping all God’s people in bondage, paralyzing with fear and threats. Jehovah could not dominate in Egypt as Pharaoh held the children of Israel in bondage to occult structures. The spirit of Pharaoh as a principality over the United States has strangled righteousness in government, family, religion and the other 4 of 7 kingdom mountain structures just as he did in Egypt of old. But in this hour, God is rolling the reproach of Egypt/Pharaoh off of His Church and this nation.
As the Church has been held in bondage and chains, not free in the spiritual realm to worship unabashed, and since signs, wonders and miracles have been held back, these now-broken chains have released the gifts of the Spirit even more and will bring changes in law, our freedom to worship, truth in media and a new hunger for the One True God like a deer pants for the water brook. Exodus 8:1 talks about the Lord telling Moses to go to Pharaoh to release His people so that they could serve Him, and many translations say “so they can worship Me.”
“And the Lord spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.” Exodus 8:1 (KJV)
In Egypt, after the blood of sacrificial lambs was applied to their doorposts by the Israelites, as instructed by the Lord, the angel of death passed over their households. Likewise, now we can free ourselves of oppressive principalities by the Blood of Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrificial Lamb. Pharaoh had a characteristic of hard-heartedness and pride, just as many in government and in strongholds, as well as in God’s people and some leaders in the Church today. Pharaoh’s heart was hardened more and more with each test until God’s chosen were free and could eventually set out to venture into the promised land. Not only were they set free, but they came out with the gold, silver and riches that they had broken their backs to attain under duress for the Egyptians, with some even giving their lives; but now it was theirs. The Church itself has traditionally had disunity, denominationalism, and hard-heartedness. But with these chains broken, the Church, the Bride, can unite, freedom will be felt, and the spoils are ours.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 14:12 (KJV)
The Church has worked hard to be free for generations. Didn’t Jesus say Himself that we would do greater works? We have never seen these “greater works” which the Lord prophesied but I believe we will now. We had to be set free from the demonic spirit of Pharaoh to be free from religion, tradition and idolatry so these gifts can flow unadulterated.
Recently major respected prophetic voices have foretold of the soon Reformation/Revival in the United States, the greatest this world has ever seen, but we had to be free from the spirit of Pharaoh for this to manifest. I had wondered how this new reformation would happen since we need this change quickly and some things sure seemed so far from it. But now I can see that we are free from the chains of Pharaoh so this Christian revolution of righteousness and salvation can occur. Of course, it will develop more and more over time, but what I see will happen much sooner than we think – and I believe we are seeing some fruit of it already.
“Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.” Deut 6:12 (KJV)
The Lord says to “get on board” with this new Church reformation to bring in the billion-soul harvest. Church will not be the same as before and we will have to embrace Godly change. The children of Israel had difficulty embracing change after leaving Egypt even though they were freed from slavery. They wanted things as usual, too accustomed to Pharaoh deciding things for them instead of leading themselves. Some wanted things to stay the same with some so hard-hearted that they would rather serve false gods and not build God’s kingdom. Others wanted to put themselves in charge, not submitting to God and His leader. Most murmured and complained instead of worshipping and interceding with many in disunity, depending on others instead. We cannot go back to the old way of doing things and make the same mistake as the children of Israel. “We were happy in Egypt” seemed to be their mental state (Num 11:5, Exodus 14:12). However, now is our time to embrace change and think outside the box, learning from the mistakes of history, remembering the bondage that we have been in. Many scriptures show how God admonished the Israelites to not forget who brought them out of bondage and into the promised land; so we must do the same by honoring, thanking and serving Him; giving Him all the glory. We must continue to intercede for this as well.
“Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments..” Exodus 6:6 (KJV)
It is terrible that we had to suffer horrible adversities like a pandemic and social injustice for this to bring about Reformation; but in the history of the world, adversity has brought God’s people to unity, Revival and a strong hungering after God and His righteousness. God heard the cries of the Israelites as they longed to be free – and He has heard our pleas as well in these desperate times. No longer will we be confined and no longer will we be silenced.
Pharaoh is dead. No longer is it the time for the spirit of Pharaoh to terrorize the Church – but time for the Church to affect the world. Chains have held the Church inside a building and the Lord has longed for the Church to go outside the four walls. Some blessings have come out of all of this like the chains being broken and a release of the spirit that binds. Plus, now God is pleased that “the Church has left the building!”
