Melissa discovered in the 1990’s that her devotion to prayer from an early age was actually a gift of intercession. During that time, she was introduced to spiritual warfare at Victory Christian Fellowship in Fresno, CA and knew it was her calling. She was then sent to Hemet, CA where she became Lead Intercessor for Bob and Susan Beckett at The Dwelling Place Church, which was featured in the documentary “Transformations 1”, by George Otis, Jr., picked as the only church in the U.S.at that time that was instrumental in the transformation of a city. She taught many classes in intercession, spiritual warfare and prophetic dance while there. She was then appointed as Coordinator for the U.S. Strategic Prayer Network in the Inland Empire of California, under the leadership of Fred Berry, Chuck Pierce and Cindy Jacobs. Melissa was also asked to bring transformation to several churches and organizations such as The CALL with Lou Engle and the Bonnie Brae House in Los Angeles where the Azusa Street Revival was birthed. She was also asked to be a Coordinator for the Azusa Street Centennial, representing Orange County. Later, she was Administrator and Elder for Dr. Gary Greenwald, at Eagle’s Nest Ministries in Santa Ana, CA. She is also in the process of writing Fred Berry’s autobiography, her own manuals and books on intercession, and has published articles on GodReports.com, ElijahList and ASSISTNews. Melissa has her Bachelor’s degree in Practical Ministry from Wagner Leadership Institute (C. Peter Wagner) and is half way to earning her Master’s there. She is the Founder and President of Strategic Prayer Command Ministry. She has returned to the Central Valley “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14) to teach intercessors, and help them to usher in reformation for California.
