I heard the Lord say that the door to this revival and awakening in the youth of America after Charlie Kirk’s assassination will not be open for long; that we should do everything we possibly can to help save the lost, bring them to church, and excite their hunger for God’s Word and everything about Jesus.
When the Lord talks about time, we often do not see it as God sees it, but we must be aware that this door can close. We should not take lightly what God can do in a short time – if we get busy.
As the Lord gave me this word of knowledge, I saw a door partly open which could be shut easily. We do not want it to close so we must intercede, give, get our boots on and go out to win the lost right now, not tomorrow. Do not think: “Yes someday when I have time, I will get out there and talk to people about Jesus.” No – the time is right now, TODAY.

It is never hard to share about Jesus since all you need is your testimony which we all have. It does not have to be dramatic or mind-blowing because each salvation is a miracle that we can share openly. No one can refute what you have experienced in life before and after you asked the Lord into your heart.
We know by studying revivals and movements, talking to those who were present during those revivals, that revivals stopped for 4 reasons:
- Disunity – when people started to argue and dislike each other, losing focus
- Glory seeking – when the people leading the revival wanted fame, attention and glory, not giving it all to God
- Religion – when religion and rules took more precedence than God’s glorious mercy, love and grace
- Disinterest and laziness – when Christians got complacent and did not continue to evangelize and pray
So let us all be mindful of the above, making sure this door does not close. This is not a “downer” word as it is such a privilege to share and demonstrate the happy and glorious truth about God’s love and eternal salvation. And what unfathomable joy and excitement there is when we see the unsaved ask for eternal life in Jesus Christ.
Thinking about what Jesus did for us, it is easy to do a little work for Him. Let us never think that someone else will do it. There are so many things we each can do to help the revival continue to billow with increasing numbers of all ages.

God’s most important concern, of course, is souls. The best action we can take is to intercede, but we should also donate to evangelism causes, tell our testimonies, drive a group of kids to church, and invite people to Christian concerts and movies. Let us get out of the pews and go to where the lost are sadly…lost.
When Jesus told the disciples to cast the net on the other side of the fishing boat in John 21, they brought in the net with so many fish that they could hardly hold it all. This is a type and shadow showing us that when we go out and bring in lost souls by following the Lord’s direction, bills are paid. Right after this encounter, Jesus tells the disciples to “feed my sheep” which is what we, His living disciples in present time, must do: catch the “fish” and disciple them.

Let every individual saint reading this keep the momentum going, bringing in the lost and sharing the love of Jesus before this door closes. The hardest part has already been done. The fire that God started must never go out as we keep the flame going: “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out” (Lev 6:13 NIV).

Melissa, great article.
I remember in the 80’s the great outpouring of God’s Spirit; and you are so right about the reason it stopped. We have a lot of young in my church and I love when I see them bring their Bibles and come up to the front. The young have a lot to teach the old about praise and worship. Be blessed!
