Prophetic Dream: Is Jesus Coming Soon?

JCreturn

By Melissa Nordell

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. (1 Thess 5:1-2 KJV)

I had one prophetic dream with 3 vivid scenes happening one right after the other. And the symbolism was profound.

Scene 1: In the first scene of the dream, I was in a house (representing the Church) where all the people were overly concerned about politics and current news, talking, stressing, arguing, and protesting. It isn’t that we are not to be concerned with political issues, of course. The problem was that the people were not in the Word of God, not worshipping the Lord, not evangelizing, and showed no effort to be ready for Jesus’ return. God was definitely not their priority. And in the dream I heard the Lord say: “You don’t belong here, for I am coming soon.”

Scene 2: Next, in the second scene of the dream, I went into another big house (another aspect of the Church) where leaders were very concerned about the people who had missed a meeting or service, not in compassionate concern but in worry about a lack of parishioners’ giving and whether the church was declining in size. I could see that the leaders felt that the people of the congregation “belonged” to them, so they spent most of their time counting attendance and trying to get back the already-saved congregants who had left. These leaders concentrated on doctrine, were not in the Presence of God, and the focus seemed to be on themselves. They were not asking God what He wanted them to do as far as worship, direction, and sermons. There was no dependency on the Lord but on man’s ideas. I saw no effort to evangelize here either. Some leaders in this dream said that the people who had left were lazy or complacent, with the leaders not seeing that the former congregants may have had reason to leave. It seemed as if these leaders would not be able to hear the last trumpet call due to self-focus.

Also, in this scene, I saw so much dirt and layers of old dust in this second “house,” which represented old religion. I saw piles and piles of clothes and other clutter strewn all around the house which represented greed, as no one could use that many clothes, shoes, and jewelry. With all the mess, I knew that there was no order in the house. I saw dirty dishes strewn all over, but no one wished to clean up. I heard the Lord say this represented an emphasis on socializing in place of worship and teaching; and not lovingly cleaning up the Bride (themselves).

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves. (Matt 21:13 KJV)

The first two houses represent current aspects of His Church that God is concerned with and that need our attention. Both represent churches and people who do not have their emphasis on what Jesus said the Church is to be: a house of prayer filled with worship and His Presence. Neither scene showed anyone spending time with Jesus. And neither showed any action in evangelizing.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (Rev 19:7 KJV)

Scene 3: Then, in scene three, I was walking outside a large old building filled with many people on several different floors who represented His Church as a whole. The fact that it was old represented that His Church has been around for a long time. As I walked towards this huge Church, the Lord said to me: “You must get home quickly now because your elder brother is coming soon.” Jesus is our elder brother.

I ran inside and quickly started to tidy up, throwing out old and unnecessary things. Next, I hurriedly began organizing the contents of the house for a coming special guest, putting fresh sheets on in the guest room. As I was putting old sheets in a hamper, feeling like I was almost done, I suddenly looked out the window and saw Jesus arriving in a stretch limousine driven by the heavenly host as the Conquering King. Huge angels surrounded the limo, all very active and powerful.

Jesus soon came into the Church, bounding up the stairs with such joy, skipping some of the many steps. When He entered and I saw Him, He questioned: “Now why did you think I was coming on the 31st?”

I knew that I and other churchgoers were just not quite ready for Jesus to return. Even though we knew it would be sometime soon, we really were looking far off. The 31st day of the month represents “the last day(s)” and this all meant that we believed He would come a bit later than it would truly be.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph 5:27 KJV)

We know He is coming – but do we really realize how soon? Are we interceding for His grand return? Are we interceding that the most people possible can be saved before He comes? Are we working toward that goal? Being often in many intercession circles, I rarely hear this type of intercession. How often do we work on “cleaning up the Bride” (ourselves), and getting things in order? What are our priorities?

Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. (Matt 24:7-8 NLT)

The question is also raised: are we really listening for that last trumpet blast, ready at a moment’s notice? Do we just think these present times show minor birth pangs or is the head for the birth already crowning?

The Lord is sounding the alarm to urgently alert the Church. The Church needs to recognize the severity and closeness of the hour and work accordingly. He is coming sooner than later and does nothing without first telling His prophets. We must be ready for His return, both individually and corporately, with a cleaned-up, spotless Bride, fully ready for the Groom who wishes that no one is left behind.

Two Nights Later: Two nights later, I had a confirmation dream in which the Lord said that He wants intercessors to concentrate in strategic warfare for the transformation of the Church at large, making the Bride ready and bringing in the biggest harvest possible.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. (Matt 24:42-44 KJV)

  1. I so enjoy your teachings; and so often it is a confirmation of what the Lord is showing me.

I heard that there was 4,000 years from Adam to Jesus’s Ascension; and it’s been approximately 2,000 years since then. That makes 6,000 years. We know Our Father deals in 7 and 3’s. So, I asked myself, “what is left of the 7,000 years?”. The thousand-year reign! But before that happens, the Rapture and Tribulation. Soon and very soon!

Also, wasn’t it Daniel that said there would be 1,335 years after the abomination of desolation that Messiah would return? Would you consider the Dome of the Rock that abomination? It was built in 691. 1,335 + 691 = 2026. Soon and very soon!

The Lord impressed upon me, that it was time I sent a love letter to my family. I gave My Story (testimony), Our Story (Garden of Eden Sin), His Story (God’s plan and Jesus’s fulfillment of that plan) and Their Decision (salvation prayer). I told them what they could expect if they didn’t decide for Christ before the Rapture and why I thought the time is short. I sent 25 love letters; I’ve received only 3 responses and those from born-again family members. Please pray with me that the seed sent landed on good ground.

Thank you for listening and be blessed!
